Overview

Tasked with milling a coat hook from thin beech wood, we made a multifunctional coat hook that lets you place several items at once. The individual parts were manufactured on a 2-axis milling machine.

Construction

The hook comprises two main components: a simple hook for hanging jackets, bags or similar items, and a curved wooden element that extends along the entire length of the hook and serves as its visual centrepiece.

That element is attached to the base using plug connections and gains its flexibility from precise cuts. It provides a shelf for clothing, while the hook keeps ample space for combinations — a bag and a scarf, or a jacket and a hat.
