01 / About

Diana Zillner.

I am an industrial designer from Munich. I graduated in Industrial Design at HTW Berlin in 2023, after four years in Berlin, and I am currently studying for an M.Sc. in Product and Service Design at Sapienza University of Rome.

My work runs across industrial design, product and packaging design, and graphic and editorial design. Most of the projects here started at university, often in a team and often with a company on the other side of the table — Mercedes-Benz, Coca-Cola, Rolls-Royce Power Systems. The rest I started myself, because I wanted to keep making things after my degree.

  • Fantasy Farm

    Self-published colouring book for kids.

  • Olympia Equestrian Centre Munich

    Wayfinding map, brochure and signage.

  • M.Sc. Product and Service Design

Sapienza University of Rome — Advanced Design Studio, Smart Object, Laboratory of Aesthetics.

  • Selene

    Own label for handcrafted hairpins.

  • B.A. Industrial Design, HTW Berlin

Bachelor thesis “Connected” with Rolls-Royce Power Systems.

  • PackVision

German Packaging Institute (dvi) with Coca-Cola.

  • Cyber MOG

    Cooperation project with Mercedes-Benz AG.

  • Berlin

    Studies and first design projects.

02 / Services

What I do.

Four fields, one way of working: research first, then form, then the files someone can actually build from.

Industrial & Product Design

Objects from first research to production-ready detail — concept, CMF, 3D modelling, prototyping and technical drawings. Developed with Mercedes-Benz, Coca-Cola and Rolls-Royce Power Systems.

Packaging Design

Structural and graphic packaging: dielines, material choices, information layout and the digital layer around it. Certified by the German Packaging Institute for the Coca-Cola PackVision project.

Graphic & Editorial Design

Wayfinding systems, brochures, books and information design — from a site map for an olympic venue to a self-published children’s book.

Illustration & Craft

Drawn characters, jewellery concepts and handmade objects. Where a product needs a voice rather than a spec sheet.

04 / Process

How I work.

Every project follows the same sequence, which brings content, requirements and execution together.

01

Orientation

Briefing, content, technical and product-specific requirements.

02

Concept

Design direction, variants, and the basis for deciding between them.

03

Design

Finalisation, design system and details, worked through to production.

04

Handover

Ordered files, guidelines and specifications for implementation or manufacturing.

05 / Contact

Tell me what you are
planning.

Scope, goals and constraints are enough to start with. I will come back with questions or the next steps.
