Overview

One beverage crate designed to accommodate two different bottle sizes. The innovative feature of the Original Crate is a movable inlay inside the box that carries several grids. The grids are arranged so that they adapt to one of the two bottle sizes, depending on the orientation in which the crate is used, and specific holders keep them aligned to the selected size.

One inlay, two grid sizes

When the crate is flipped, the inlay is inverted with it and reorganises its layers for the other bottle size. Stoppers at the corners hold the inlay inside the crate at all times while still letting it move freely up and down.

Function

The bottom is designed so that small bottles stand as if on a pedestal, while large ones are held as if in a basket. Both sizes are stored ideally in the same crate.

Details

Recesses in the handle area improve hygiene: at those points the crate never comes into contact with the floor, or with other crates that have previously touched it.

Thinner, staggered feet on the top and bottom let crates stack into each other like building blocks, which keeps a stack stable.

Recognition

Certified by the German Packaging Institute and Coca-Cola for the PackVision project “Getränkekiste der Zukunft”.
