The map came first
The project started with a new site map for the Olympia Equestrian Centre in Munich, designed to improve orientation, accessibility and the visitor experience. A clear visual layout and an intuitive graphic system make the grounds easier to read — arenas, halls, stables, administration buildings and gates each get their own visual key.
The map is available online, displayed on site in printed form, and included in flyers, so visitors meet the same wayfinding tool across digital and physical platforms.
Then the brochure
Once the map existed, it became the backbone of a brochure for the venue. The graphic system carried straight over, which meant the brochure could show the grounds and talk about them in the same visual language instead of inventing a second one.
Context
The grounds hosted the equestrian competitions of the 1972 Summer Olympics and remain one of the most renowned equestrian venues in Europe. The brochure places the wayfinding inside that story: olympic heritage, sport, breeding and culture.
